Best Ways to Relax From Meditation to Sex
The fact that about half of Americans have trouble sleeping may lead you to believe that everyone just has too much energy, but this generally isn't the case. Often, the problem is that you just have too much on your mind to relax and fall asleep. This comes from the stress of daily life, whether it is kids or school or work or everything combined. There are lots of relaxation techniques to help you de-stress, and it is often just a trial and error process until you find something that works for you.
1) Breathing Techniques- Breathing? Don't I do that already? Yeah, you do, but this is different. They're called deep breathing exercises, and they have many benefits other than helping you get to sleep. First of all, it oxygenates the blood, which refreshes your brain. It also relaxes the muscles and quiets the mind. The great thing about this solution is that it can be used in almost any situation.
If you are nervous for a presentation or just too stressed out to work, they can be done without attracting any attention. They can also be done while lying in bed without disturbing your partner. There are many variations on this, and all of them can be found on the internet along with instructional videos and audio.
2) Meditation- When many people think of hypnosis, they think of a man with a swinging clock making people bark like a dog or dance like a ballerina. The truth is, however, that hypnosis can have many benefits, from simple relaxation to quitting smoking. To do this, sit in a quiet place and get comfortable. Visualize yourself walking in the forest or some other faraway place that you find peaceful. Once you feel far away, begin to focus on what you want. If the goal is to fall asleep easily that night, picture yourself doing so, or maybe repeat a phrase that encompasses what you want.
3) Sex- When couples begin having sex less often or not at all, it is often because of the stress and busy lives that both partners have. Truthfully, this is the opposite reaction you should have. Sex is one of the most natural tension relievers and can help you get a good night's sleep and wake up feeling satisfied and refreshed. The sleep you lose during it will likely be made up for with the quality of sleep you will get instead.
